Internships are an integral part of the educational process at the Public Vocational University in Grudziądz and are a mandatory element of the study program. Their purpose is to enable students to gain practical professional experience, develop field-specific competencies, and verify and deepen the learning outcomes achieved during classes.
The rules for organizing and conducting internships are set out in the Professional Internship Regulations introduced by Senate Resolution No. 4/2025/2026 of February 16, 2026. The Regulations were adopted on the basis of the provisions of the Law on Higher Education and Science and the University Statutes.
The main goals of the internship are:
- preparing students to enter the labor market,
- developing practical skills in line with the study program profile,
- shaping social and organizational competences,
- familiarizing students with the functioning of institutions and enterprises relevant to a given field of study,
- verifying the achievement of the intended learning outcomes.
The internship regulations specify in particular:
- procedures for creating internship programs and syllabi,
- internship documentation templates,
- rules for verifying new internship locations (including those proposed by students),
- procedures for supervising the proper implementation of internships,
- methods for verifying the compliance of the internship with the program and learning outcomes.
The internship program is closely linked to the field of study and educational profile, and takes into account the specific nature of the professional area in question.
FRAMEWORK PROGRAM FOR INTERNSHIPS
Internships can be carried out in:
- private enterprises and companies,
- public and local government institutions,
- non-governmental organizations,
- other entities whose business profile is consistent with the field of study.
Students may suggest their own internship location, which will be verified in accordance with the rules set out in the Regulations.
The University Internship Coordinator supervises the proper implementation of internships. The course of the internship is assessed in terms of:
- compliance with the internship program,
- achievement of the intended learning outcomes,
- completeness of the required documentation
The condition for passing the internship is to complete it in accordance with the applicable program and submit the required documents.

The draft Internship Regulations are subject to review by the University Commission for Quality of Education, and their adoption is subject to a resolution of the Senate. This solution ensures the high quality of the organization of internships and their compliance with the educational standards applicable in higher education. Internships at the Public Vocational University in Grudziądz are a key element in preparing students for their profession and building a conscious and responsible career path.
